Winston County, Mississippi, USA

Winston County is a county in central Mississippi, with Louisville as its county seat. It was established in 1833 and named for lawyer Louis Winston. The county contains Nanih Waiya, an ancient mound central to Choctaw history and tradition. The mound was returned to the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians in 2008.
