Location overview
Canadian County lies west of Oklahoma City in central Oklahoma. El Reno is the county seat, and Yukon and Mustang are among its growing communities. The Canadian and North Canadian rivers cross a landscape of plains, farmland and expanding suburbs. Organized in 1890, the county retains traces of cattle trails, railroad development and agricultural settlement.
