Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware, USA

Millsboro is a town near the head of the Indian River in Sussex County, Delaware. A gristmill and sawmill established near Rock Hole in the 1790s helped draw settlement to the area. Communities on opposite sides of the river grew into a trading center for lumber and agricultural products. Railroad service brought further growth after the Civil War. Millsboro incorporated in 1893.
