Erath is an incorporated town in Vermilion Parish in south-central Louisiana. It lies east of Abbeville and south of Lafayette, along Louisiana Highway 14. Acadian settlement and culture have shaped the community’s identity. Its annual Fourth of July celebration is a long-standing local event.
