Stoughton is a town in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, about 20 miles south of Boston. Its center developed around early roads and rail lines, while residential neighborhoods, ponds and wooded areas spread toward neighboring Canton, Sharon and Easton. Settled in the early 18th century, Stoughton grew through shoemaking and other small industries.
