Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA

Minneapolis is a city in Hennepin County, Minnesota, on the Mississippi River. St. Anthony Falls powered the lumber and flour mills that shaped its early growth. Minneapolis and St. Anthony merged in 1872, joining communities on opposite banks of the river. The former Washburn A Mill now houses the Mill City Museum along the riverfront. The city later developed into a regional center of banking and corporate business.
