Thomasville is a city in Davidson County in North Carolina’s Piedmont region, near High Point and Winston-Salem. Established in 1852 along a planned railroad route, it developed into a furniture-manufacturing center. Its downtown includes a restored railroad depot built in 1870. The landmark Big Chair reflects the city’s history of chair production.
