Farmington is a city in San Juan County in northwestern New Mexico. It lies along the San Juan River near its confluence with the Animas River. The city is in the Four Corners region, near the boundaries of New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colorado. River corridors connect its urban area with surrounding high-desert landscapes.
