Rio Rancho, Sandoval County, New Mexico, USA

Rio Rancho is a city in central New Mexico, north of Albuquerque. Most of the city lies in Sandoval County, with a portion in Bernalillo County. It developed from Rio Rancho Estates, a housing development begun after AMREP acquired land in 1961. The city incorporated in 1981.
