Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, USA

Eugene is a city in Lane County in western Oregon, in the southern Willamette Valley. The Willamette River runs through the city, which adjoins Springfield to the east. Eugene incorporated in 1862 after developing as a settlement in the 1850s. Early mills and later timber and wood-products businesses contributed to its growth. Riverfront paths and other public spaces remain part of its landscape.
