Scappoose, Columbia County, Oregon, USA

Scappoose is a city in Columbia County in northwestern Oregon, northwest of Portland near the Multnomah Channel. Its early development included sawmilling and farming, followed by a railroad connection in 1884. The city incorporated in 1921. Highway 30, its commercial corridor and a nearby aviation district remain prominent features of the community.
