Belgrade Elementary School District boundary

Belgrade Elementary School District is a K-8 school district centered on Belgrade in Gallatin County, southwestern Montana. Its boundary covers the city and nearby neighborhoods in the Gallatin Valley, a broad agricultural basin framed by the Bridger and Madison ranges. Public education in Belgrade began in 1891 with a one-room school that met in a church, when the community was still a small railroad-era farming settlement. The elementary jurisdiction overlaps the Belgrade High School District, although the high school boundary extends somewhat farther and includes additional households. Rapid growth around Belgrade and nearby Bozeman has transformed parts of the district from open farmland into suburban neighborhoods while mountain views and working fields remain prominent.
