Addlestone Hebrew Academy

Addlestone Hebrew Academy is an independent Jewish community day school in Charleston, South Carolina. Established in 1956, it serves children from early childhood through eighth grade and welcomes families across the city’s Jewish community. Its curriculum combines general studies with Hebrew, Judaic studies and arts and science learning, and culminates in an eighth-grade study trip to Israel. The school is not affiliated with a single synagogue, and representatives of local congregations participate in its governance. Its West Ashley campus, opened in 2015, includes classrooms, teaching spaces and kosher kitchens designed for the school’s educational and community programs.
