Bangor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

Bangor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a nonprofit nursing and rehabilitation provider serving greater Bangor, Maine, and a member of Covenant Health. It traces its history to a municipal institution founded in 1827 and moved in 1969 to a building at the former Dow Air Force Base. Today, the center provides short-term rehabilitation, long-term nursing and memory care from its Texas Avenue campus. Physician-directed rehabilitation includes physical, occupational and speech therapy, wound care and discharge planning for patients returning home. Respite stays offer temporary care when family caregivers need support. Its residential services combine round-the-clock nursing with nutritional support, social services, therapeutic activities and spiritual care.
