Blood Bank of Delmarva

Blood Bank of Delmarva is a nonprofit blood-services division of New York Blood Center, Inc., serving the Delmarva Peninsula and neighboring communities. Founded in 1954, it supplies blood products to hospitals, emergency medical services and other health care partners. It recruits volunteer donors through community blood drives and donor centers in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania, including facilities in the Newark area and Dover. Its work includes collecting blood components and providing reference laboratory services to support transfusion care. The organization operates in Delaware and is part of New York Blood Center Enterprises’ national blood-services network.
