Catawba County Government

Catawba County Government provides local services for residents and businesses in Catawba County, North Carolina. Its Government Center is in Newton, where the Board of Commissioners, county manager and administrative departments conduct county business. The county operates public health, emergency medical services, social services, libraries, animal services, planning, building inspections and other programs. It also supports elections, property records, tax collection, solid waste services and utilities. These county responsibilities are separate from those of the municipalities and school systems within Catawba County.
