City of Cocoa

The City of Cocoa is the municipal government of Cocoa, Florida, a community on the Indian River in central Brevard County. Cocoa developed in the late 19th century as a commercial center for the surrounding citrus-growing region and was incorporated in 1895. Its historic downtown, known as Cocoa Village, remains a center for shops, restaurants and cultural venues. The city provides public safety, utilities, public works, planning, parks and other local services. Its water system also serves customers beyond the city limits, linking Cocoa to communities across central Brevard County.
