City of Maple Plain

Maple Plain is a city in western Hennepin County, Minnesota, with a population of 1,743 recorded in the 2020 census. The community covers approximately 800 acres and lies amid the lakes, farmland, wooded areas and rolling terrain west of the Twin Cities. Maple Plain is governed by an elected mayor and four-member City Council, with appointed staff managing municipal operations. The city provides services including public works, water and sewer utilities, planning and zoning, parks and recreation, and fire protection.
