Community Clinical Services

Community Clinical Services is a nonprofit health care provider founded in 1985 to serve the Lewiston-Auburn area of Maine. Its B-Street Health Center in Lewiston combines primary medical care with psychiatry and counseling, accepting patients regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Other programs include internal medicine at CCS Kappelmann and behavioral case management. The organization received federally qualified health center look-alike designation in 2000 and offers fees adjusted for household income and size. It disaffiliated from St. Mary’s Health System and Covenant Health in July 2024 while continuing patient-care coordination with St. Mary’s. Its independent board governs the organization, with a finance committee reporting to it monthly.
