Frederick Health

Frederick Health is a nonprofit health system based in Frederick, Maryland, serving residents through hospital, outpatient and community services. Its provider network includes primary and specialty care, cancer services, home care, hospice and surgical care. The system’s roots reach back to Frederick City Hospital, which opened in 1902 through community fundraising led by Emma J. Smith. Frederick Health Inc., the parent corporation formed in 2011, is distinct from its hospital and medical-group subsidiaries. Those entities work within an integrated network that combines inpatient care with physician practices and services outside the main hospital.
