Mount St. Rita Health Centre

Mount St. Rita Health Centre is a nonprofit nursing and rehabilitation provider serving older adults in Cumberland, Rhode Island. It has operated since 1971 and draws its Catholic care tradition from Catherine McAuley and the Sisters of Mercy. The center’s Mercy Rehabilitation program supports recovery through physical, occupational and speech therapy, nursing and discharge planning. Long-term nursing and respite stays provide ongoing residential support and temporary care when needed. Palliative and hospice services are offered alongside psychological counseling, family support and spiritual care. The Covenant Health member organization occupies a wooded hillside campus on Sumner Brown Road, where nursing and clinical services are combined with social and recreational activities.
