Nucor Corporation is a publicly traded steel producer and recycler headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company manufactures steel and fabricated steel products for customers across North America. Its businesses combine steel mills, downstream fabrication facilities and raw-materials operations, including scrap recycling. Nucor’s mills use electric arc furnaces, with recycled material providing much of the feedstock for its steelmaking. Its products supply construction, automotive, energy and other industrial markets. The company’s common stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol NUE.
