Premera Blue Cross

Premera Blue Cross is a nonprofit health insurance company based in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. An independent licensee of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, it offers health plans for individuals, employers and other covered groups in Washington and Alaska. Its work includes administering health benefits and claims, maintaining provider networks and helping members obtain and manage care. The company’s services also include wellness, disease-management and virtual-care programs. Premera traces its service history to Washington in 1933 and Alaska in 1952. It maintains corporate offices in Mountlake Terrace and Spokane.
