San Diego College of Continuing Education

San Diego College of Continuing Education is the noncredit adult-education division of the San Diego Community College District. Its roots date to 1914, when adult classes began alongside the city’s early junior-college program. The institution provides tuition-free instruction in career training, English as a second language, high school equivalency, basic education, health and other subjects. Courses are offered at seven campuses and numerous community locations across San Diego, with schedules designed for adult learners. Its programs help residents build workplace skills, prepare for further education and pursue personal or professional goals without enrolling in a traditional degree program.
