Saydel Community School District

Saydel Community School District is a public school district in Polk County, Iowa, with its administrative office north of central Des Moines. It operates Cornell Elementary School for preschool through fourth grade, Woodside Middle School for grades five through eight, and Saydel High School for grades nine through 12. These three schools serve families in the district’s attendance area with elementary, secondary and extracurricular programs. An elected school board governs the district, while administrators coordinate instruction, student services and day-to-day operations. The district’s schools and office share Des Moines mailing addresses, although the district is a separate educational entity.
