St. Joseph Hospital
Organization overview

St. Joseph Hospital is a nonprofit Catholic health care organization serving the greater Nashua area of New Hampshire. Monsignor Henri Milette founded it in 1908 under the sponsorship of the Sisters of Charity of Montreal, known as the Grey Nuns, primarily to serve Nashua’s French Canadian community. Today, the Covenant Health member combines an acute-care hospital with outpatient clinics and physician practices. Its services include emergency and surgical care, diagnostic imaging, cancer treatment, primary care and rehabilitation. A nursing school opened alongside the hospital in 1908 and graduated its first class in 1910. The main hospital is at 172 Kinsley St. in Nashua.
