Town of Damariscotta, Maine

The Town of Damariscotta is the municipal government serving Damariscotta, a community in Lincoln County in Maine’s Midcoast region. The town operates under a Select Board–Town Meeting–town manager form of government, in which residents vote on budgets and other major municipal matters at the annual Town Meeting, the elected Select Board establishes policy and provides administrative direction, and an appointed town manager oversees daily operations. The government provides local services including public safety, road maintenance, land-use planning and code enforcement, taxation and financial administration, harbor and shellfish management, elections, and maintenance of municipal facilities and public infrastructure.
