Town of Clayton, North Carolina

The Town of Clayton is the municipal government for Clayton in Johnston County, North Carolina, southeast of Raleigh. Its departments oversee public safety, utilities, streets, planning, parks, recreation and other services used by residents and businesses. Clayton developed from a railroad and agricultural community into one of the faster-growing communities in the Raleigh metropolitan area. The town organization supports that growth through infrastructure investment, community programs and management of an expanding urban service area.
