Town of Mountain Park

Mountain Park is a small incorporated town in Kiowa County in southwestern Oklahoma, near the Wichita Mountains and about 40 miles northwest of Lawton. Once supported by cotton, wheat and granite quarrying, it briefly served as the seat of the short-lived Swanson County in 1910. Its population peaked at 557 in 1980 and has since declined; Census Reporter estimated 265 residents in 2024, with household income well below county and statewide levels.
