Town of Southold

The Town of Southold is the municipal government for Southold on Long Island’s North Fork in Suffolk County, New York. Town Hall is on Route 25 in Southold. Its departments provide police protection, public works, building inspections, planning and housing, land preservation, recreation, waste management and senior services. The town also maintains a justice court and offices for property assessment, taxes and records. These town responsibilities extend across Southold’s communities and are distinct from Suffolk County government and local school districts.
