Wagon Mound Public Schools

Wagon Mound Public Schools is the public school district serving Wagon Mound and the surrounding rural area of Mora County, New Mexico. The district provides prekindergarten through 12th grade education in a small, close-knit school system. Its programs include core academics, student activities, athletics and services for families spread across a sparsely populated part of northeastern New Mexico. Wagon Mound developed as a ranching community and railroad stop along the historic Santa Fe Trail. The schools remain an important community institution in a village far from the state’s larger population centers.
