City of Vicksburg ransomware incident

A ransomware incident shut down Vicksburg's computer systems and disrupted utility payments, records retrieval and administrative work. Utility account access and payment processing remained disrupted Oct. 6, and customers were not being admitted to the Water and Gas Administration office during a reporter's visit. Water and gas service continued; late fees, penalties and disconnections were suspended. Data impact and full recovery remain unknown.
