Hugh Conley Recreation Center scanner error prompts ballot rescan request

A scanner displayed an error at Hugh C. Conley Recreation Center during Fulton County early voting Oct. 26, 2026. WSB's updated Nov. 3 report gives 708 Conley ballots needing rescanning, separate from 361 Mechanicsville Library ballots. The combined total is 1,069. The county said Georgia's Voting System Division recommended corrective rescanning, subject to elections-board approval and public observation. Completion of rescanning, full restoration and the scanner's root cause were not established. The separate Mechanicsville incident involved physical cord damage; no event-specific cyber cause was reported at Conley.
