Cayuga County 911 and administrative telephone outage

Cayuga County, New York, lost 911 and administrative telephone service on Oct. 1–2, 2026. Emergency calls were routed through Seneca County dispatchers, and the sheriff provided alternate non-emergency numbers. Officials said all county 911 and ten-digit lines were working again by Friday evening, Oct. 2. The cause was not reported.
