Massive Data Breach Reported at Radin Health, Affecting Multiple Providers
Radin Health, a MedTech company based in Sheridan, Wyoming, specializing in AI-driven cloud solutions for radiology and imaging centers, is reportedly the target of a major cyberattack. An anonymous whistleblower provided Dysruption Hub with evidence of stolen medical records, alleging that approximately 80,000 patient files have been compromised. The records reportedly originate from multiple healthcare providers, and included in the samples were medical reports from MD Sonography, Windsor Imaging, Manhattan MRI, Houston Premier Radiology, Extremity & Open MRI, and CMS Diagnostic Services. The whistleblower further claimed that Radin Health has been subjected to multiple attack methods, including ransomware and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, which forced the company to disable its appointment booking software. Notably, Radin Health offers appointment scheduling capabilities through its Radiology Information System (RIS).
These allegations have not been independently verified, and Radin Health has not provided any confirmation or response to the claims at this time.
Radin Health did not respond to inquiries for comment, leaving critical questions unanswered about the scope of the breach and ongoing recovery efforts. The disruption to healthcare services has sparked concerns about the vulnerability of cloud-based medical systems. The alleged breach could expose sensitive patient data, including health and financial information, placing affected individuals at risk of identity theft. The company’s silence amid these claims highlights organizations' growing challenges in managing escalating cyber threats.
