Cyberattack Disrupts REMSA Health Dispatch in Nevada

REMSA Health in Reno, Nevada, experienced a cyberattack on February 5, 2025, that temporarily disrupted its computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system, though officials said patient care and emergency response services continued without delays. The CAD system, which provides supplementary support to emergency medical dispatchers, was taken offline after security software detected the threat. Staff were instructed to avoid using their computers as a precaution while CAD down protocols were implemented. Despite the disruption, 911 ground ambulance and Care Flight air ambulance services remained operational. The CAD system has since been restored, and REMSA is coordinating with authorities to investigate the incident.
