Location overview
Kent County is a geographic county in central Rhode Island, extending from inland West Greenwich and Coventry to Warwick on Narragansett Bay. It also includes East Greenwich and West Warwick, placing both coastal communities and wooded uplands within the county. Greenwich Bay and the Pawtuxet River valley shaped settlement and industry in its eastern towns. Inland, the landscape becomes hillier and more rural toward the Connecticut line.
