Location overview
Lee County lies east of Austin in Central Texas. Giddings is the county seat. Its landscape combines Blackland Prairie with Post Oak Savannah, including grasslands, oak woodland and creek bottoms. Branches of Yegua Creek drain much of the county, and U.S. highways 77 and 290 provide major routes through the area.
