Location overview
Bella Vista is a city in Benton County in northwestern Arkansas, within the Ozark Plateau. It began as a summer recreation resort in the early 20th century and developed into a vacation and retirement community in the 1960s. Residents voted to incorporate in 2006 as the community grew beyond its resort origins. Wooded hills, lakes and an extensive trail network make outdoor recreation a prominent feature of the city.
