Location overview
Delta is a city in western Colorado and the seat of Delta County, near the confluence of the Gunnison and Uncompahgre rivers. It was established in 1882 as a trading post for Ute people and settlers. Agriculture, mining and the development of land and water resources shaped its early growth. Historic buildings and outdoor murals are prominent features of downtown.
