Norwood, San Miguel County, Colorado, USA

Norwood is a town on Wright’s Mesa in the western part of San Miguel County, Colorado. Open fields and woodlands of juniper, pinyon and ponderosa pine surround the community. Farming and ranching shaped its development, and it became a supplier of goods to miners working near Telluride. The San Miguel River canyon lies north of the mesa, with desert canyons to the west and the San Juan Mountains to the south and east.
