Ammon is a city in Bonneville County in eastern Idaho, with Idaho Falls on its western edge and foothills to the east. Agriculture and irrigation shaped its early development, with canals carrying water to surrounding farmland. The townsite incorporated in 1905. Residential growth and access to Idaho Falls have helped shape the modern community, which also operates an open-access municipal fiber network.
