Brazil, Clay County, Indiana, USA

Brazil is a city and the seat of Clay County in western Indiana, at the junction of the National Road, U.S. 40, and State Road 59. Road and railroad connections helped shape its growth as a regional center. Brick and clay manufacturing became important parts of the city’s industrial history. The limestone Clay County Courthouse, completed in 1914, is a prominent landmark along East National Avenue.
