Grand Blanc is a city in southeastern Genesee County, Michigan, about 10 miles south of Flint and 60 miles north of Detroit. Farming families settled in the area in the 1820s. The community incorporated as a city in 1930. Grand Blanc Commons, a former farm, provides forested open space along Thread Creek. The Grand Blanc Heritage Museum occupies a former Congregational church built in 1885.
