Grandville lies southwest of Grand Rapids in Kent County, near the Grand River and the mouth of Buck Creek. Its older downtown and surrounding neighborhoods reflect the city’s origins as a river and railroad community, while later development extends toward major highways. The RiverTown Crossings area has become one of West Michigan’s largest concentrations of shopping, dining and entertainment. Grandville had an estimated population of 17,018 in 2025, about 5.9% above the 2020 estimates base. Retail, health care, manufacturing, construction, professional services and regional commuting support its economy.
