Location overview
Wyoming lies immediately south and southwest of Grand Rapids and is the second-largest city in Kent County. Its broad residential neighborhoods are interspersed with industrial districts and commercial corridors along U.S. 131, M-6 and major east-west roads. Buck Creek, Plaster Creek and a growing network of parks and trails provide green corridors through the heavily developed city. Wyoming had an estimated population of 78,588 in 2025, about 2.7% above the 2020 estimates base. Manufacturing, health care, food processing, logistics, retail, construction and professional services support its diverse economy.
