Plymouth is a suburban city in Hennepin County about 12 miles west of downtown Minneapolis. Lakes, wetlands and rolling glacial terrain are woven through its neighborhoods, business districts and extensive park system. Plymouth had an estimated population of 78,551 in 2024. The city maintains roughly 1,834 acres of parkland and nearly 190 miles of city, state and regional trails. Manufacturing, medical technology, health care, corporate offices, retail and professional services make Plymouth one of Minnesota’s larger suburban employment centers.
