City of Plymouth

The City of Plymouth is the municipal government of a large Hennepin County suburb northwest of Minneapolis, Minnesota. A mayor and six council members set policy, with two council seats elected citywide and four by ward. City departments provide police and fire protection, streets, water and sewer utilities, planning, inspections, parks and recreation. Plymouth’s residential neighborhoods, business districts, lakes and open spaces create varied service and land-use needs across the city. Municipal planning and environmental programs support its parks, trails and natural areas while accommodating a substantial commercial and industrial employment base.
