Tupelo is the largest city in northeastern Mississippi and the county seat of Lee County. It sits among the low hills and wooded farmland of the state’s northeastern corner near the Natchez Trace Parkway. The community grew from a Chickasaw homeland into a railroad and manufacturing center and is widely known as the birthplace of Elvis Presley.
