Raritan Township is a municipality in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, surrounding the separate Borough of Flemington. It lies in the Amwell and Raritan valley regions, nearly halfway between New York City and Philadelphia. The Neshanic River, South Branch of the Raritan River and smaller streams shape its landscape. Farms, protected farmland, parkland and residential areas extend beyond its highway corridors. U.S. 202 and state routes 31 and 12 connect the township with surrounding communities.
